Capexplan’s General Settings are crucial for aligning the system with your organization’s needs. This guide covers key areas such as user management, financial settings, workflow customization, integration options, and custom fields/templates.
General Settings
- From the dashboard, click the Administration menu.

- Within the Administration menu, select General Settings to access the various configuration options.

The General Settings in Capexplan encompass several critical components:
1. Basic Settings (Account)
- Global Dates Format: Configure important dates such as the fiscal year start and end dates.
- Cost of Capital: Set the cost of capital rate which is used in financial calculations and analysis.
- Currencies: Define the currencies used within the system. This includes setting the base currency and any additional currencies your organization operates with.
2. Organization Structure
- Company’s Org Chart: Create and maintain the organization’s structure. This involves defining the hierarchy, departments, and roles within your company.
- Add/Edit Organizational Units: Manage the various units and their relationships within the organization.
3. User Management
- Creation of Normal Users by Super Users: Super users can create and manage user accounts.
- Assign Roles and Permissions: Define user roles and assign appropriate permissions to control access to different parts of the system.
4. Approval Policies
- Define Approval Policies: Set up the approval workflows and policies for various requests. This includes specifying who needs to approve what types of requests and in what order.
- Edit Approval Policies: Modify existing policies to adapt to changing organizational needs.
5. Single Sign-On (SSO) and APIs
- SAML SSO Configuration: Configure Single Sign-On (SSO) using SAML to allow users to log in using their organizational credentials.
- API Integration: Set up and manage APIs for integrating Capexplan with other systems.
