How to Create and Add Users in Capex Plan

Adding new users to your Capex Plan system is a simple but essential step for ensuring that your team members have the access they need. This guide walks you through the step-by-step process of creating user accounts, whether you’re onboarding a single team member or an entire department.

Navigate to User Management

  1. From the main dashboard, click on User Management.
  1. Select the Create New User tab to begin the process.

You will be prompted to fill out key user profile information:

  • Full Name – Enter the user’s complete name.
  • Job Title – Input their role or designation.
  • User ID (Optional) – Only required if your company mandates it.

Note: The User ID field is optional by default. Check your organization’s settings to confirm if it’s needed.

  • Enter the user’s company-related details. Use the “Use my information” link to auto-fill fields with head office data.
  • If the user operates from a different region, manually enter their specific company details instead.

On the second tab:

  • You’ll be prompted for the user’s location details:
    • Address
    • City
    • Province
    • Country

Note: Use “Use my info” cautiously—only if the user is at the same location as the head office.

Set Email and Access Level

On the third page:

  • Enter a unique email address (not already registered in the system).
  • Hovering over the email field displays additional tips and validation rules.

Select User Type

Capex Plan offers three main user types:

1. Normal User

  • Select specific organizational units the user should access (e.g., West Coast, Middle East).
  • You can assign multiple units.

2. Regional User

  • Acts like a Super User, but only within assigned regions or business units.
  • Offers more access than a normal user, but less than a global Super User.

3. Super User

  • To assign Super User rights:
    • First, select the business unit.
  • Place the user at the top level of the organization chart (e.g., Global Corporation).
  • After selecting you have access to super user.
  • Placing them at a lower level (e.g., USA) will disable the Super User option.

Note: Super Users have full access to the system. Once selected, no further access customization is needed.
