How to create/edit Budget in Capexplan

Creating and managing budgets in Capexplan is essential for effective financial planning and resource allocation. This guide will help you understand the basic and advanced functions available on the Create/Edit budgets page, and how to utilize the various features to create and manage your budgets.

The Create/Edit budgets page contains two main tabs: Budget Overview and Capital Plan. Each tab offers specific functionalities to help you manage your budgets effectively.

How to overview the budget

  • From the main dashboard, select the Budget option.

  • In the Budget section, click on create/edit.

  • Please select an Entity from your portfolio on the left to load its budget details.

  • You can overview the budget from there. 

How to edit the budget

  • Click Open Master Budget Worksheet

  • You have access to the primary budget worksheet to view and edit your master budget.
  • Easily import existing budgets or export current budgets for external use.
  • Generate sub-budgets to manage different sections or departments within your organization.

How to track the Capital Plan 

  • Click Open Master Budget Worksheet

  • Click the Capital Plan tab. The Capital Plan tab provides information on the tracking process of your budget and capital expenditures.

  • Click the Capital Tracker Page. The Capital Tracker page helps you monitor and track your capital expenditures.
