How to Import Capex Details in Capexplan

Capexplan’s Import Capex Details feature allows users to efficiently import capex requests from an Excel file. This guide will walk you through the steps to generate an import template and upload it to import your capex details.

Steps to Import Capex Details

Before you can import your capex details, you need to generate an import template. This template ensures that your data is formatted correctly for Capexplan.

  • From the dashboard, go to the Help menu.

  • Select Import Capex Details.

  • Choose the columns you want to include in your import template. The available columns are:

Capex Requests: Detailed information about each capex request.

Budgets: Budget details associated with the capex requests.

Tracking: Tracking information for each capex request.

Tracking Adjustments: Any adjustments made to tracking data.

Suppliers: Supplier details related to the capex requests.

Entity: The entity associated with the capex requests.

WBS Elements: Work Breakdown Structure elements associated with the capex requests.

Actual and Commitment: Actual and committed amounts related to the capex requests.

  • After selecting the necessary columns, click the Generate Template button. Once the template is generated, download it to your computer.

Steps to Upload Your Template

  • Select the filled template from your computer and upload it.
  • Review the uploaded data to ensure it is accurate.
  • Once you have verified the data, click the Import Template Now button to finalize the process.
  • Capexplan will process the import and integrate the capex details into the system.
