Staying informed about your CAPEX/OPEX approval workflow is important—but so is avoiding notification overload. The My Settings page in CapEx Plan offers powerful options to help you control the when and why behind the emails you receive.
In this article, we’ll walk through three key notification settings so you can streamline your communication preferences and stay focused on what matters most.
Where to Find Notification Settings
- Navigate to My Settings from the main menu.

- Scroll to the Approval Notification Settings section.

You’ll find the following three configuration options.
1 Approval Notification for My Approvals
This setting controls notifications for requests you are required to approve.

Options:
- All Actions (Default)
Receive a notification every time a colleague approves, disapproves, or comments on a request where you are an approver.
Can lead to excessive emails if the approval chain is long or heavily discussed. - Only for actions I need to respond to
You’ll be notified only when action is required from you, such as:
- When a request reaches your approval step.
- When someone replies directly to your comment.
- When a request reaches your approval step.
Recommended if you want to cut down on unnecessary email clutter and focus on pending actions.
2 Approval Notification for CAPEX/OPEX Approvals

This setting decides when you are notified about the approval of CAPEX/OPEX requests.
Options:
- Default
Get notified whenever any request you’re involved in gets approved. - Only when requests I created are approved
Receive notifications only when your own submitted requests are approved.
Perfect for requesters who want to stay updated on their own submissions without getting updates for others.
3 Approval Notification for CAPEX/OPEX Disapprovals
This setting mirrors the previous one but applies to disapproved requests.

Options:
- Default
Receive alerts when any request you’re a part of is disapproved or rejected. - Only when requests I created are disapproved
Be notified only when a request you submitted is disapproved.
