The My Settings section in CapEx Plan allows users to personalize their experience based on their workflow and preferences. From interface appearance to security features, every setting contributes to a more efficient and user-friendly environment.
Let’s walk through each setting in detail.
Dashboard Archiving Time (Note)
Note: This setting is being relocated since it applies to the entire account rather than individual users. Therefore, it is not covered in this article.
Show Full Chart Org Path
Enable this setting to view the complete organizational hierarchy instead of a shortened name.
Example:
- Without Full Path: California Plant
- With Full Path: Global Corporation > North America > USA > West Coast > Group > California Plant
Use Case: Ideal for large organizations with similar department or location names, reducing confusion and improving clarity when:
- Creating CAPEX requests
- Managing budgets
- Generating reports
Show Path on Main Menu
This setting displays the full organization path in the main menu.
- Offers the same detail as Show Full Chart Org Path
- May result in a longer menu, which is why some users prefer to keep it disabled
- You can toggle it on/off anytime to test the experience
Enable Two-Factor Authentication
Add an extra layer of security to your account.
- Requires a verification code (usually sent via email) in addition to your password when logging in.
- Strongly recommended for all users to protect sensitive data.
Set Initial Page Display
Choose what page you want to see immediately after login.
- Default: Blank landing page
- Custom: Any of your preferred dashboard views
Set this to a dashboard view with important KPIs or reports for quick access every day.
Send Email of Export
Control whether you receive an email notification when an export process completes.
- Ideal for large or time-consuming exports
- Stay productive while the export runs in the background
- You’ll get an email when the file is ready to download
Theme (Light/Dark Mode)
Toggle between:
- Light Mode – Default appearance
- Dark Mode – Comfortable for low-light environments
Switch based on your visual preference or working conditions.
Theme Colors
Customize the color palette of your interface:
- Main text
- Tabs
- Frames
- Background
- Table borders
Reset to Default: Revert any changes back to the original CapEx Plan theme.
My Dashboard Views
Control how your dashboard views appear:
- Hide default views that are not useful to you
- Unhide views as needed
- Rename views for easier understanding
Simply update the name in the provided field to reflect your team or project-specific labels.
